Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau, a premier engineering consultancy organization at the forefront of infrastructure development in the country with wide range of expertise in different disciplines, invite applications from citizens of Sri Lanka for the below mentioned post on Contract Basis.

| Quantity Surveyor | Any one of the following qualifications & experience combinations from A to B. A. Four year Degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Moratuwa or any other Degree in the relevant field recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Sri Lanka and recognized by the Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka for admission to the Class of Graduate Member of IQSSL. B. Any other Degree / qualification in the relevant field recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Sri Lanka and recognized by the Sri Lanka Institute of IQSSL for admission to the Class of Graduate Membership or higher level of Membership of IQSSL. And Masters’ Degree in the relevant field. Or Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant field from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. With A minimum of one (01) year post qualifying relevant experience in Public Service / Corporation / Statutory Board / Institution / reputed Non-state Institution. | 1. Responsible for carrying out, coordinating and assisting (with other disciplines, internal and external parties), supervising and guiding staff in, Preparation of preliminary cost estimates, cost plans, Bills of Quantities, Schedule of Rates and Engineer’s estimates. Preparation of cost analysis and maintaining the cost data bases. Checking / preparation of work measurements, quantity certifications, contractor’s interim / final statements and claims and assisting in making recommendations for claim evaluations. Valuation / preparation of variation accounts / extra works. Preparation of cash flow statements, material reconciliation statements. Procurement of services, assets, works, equipment, plants and materials. Preparation of tender / contract documents. viii. Cost monitoring / controlling and cost reporting works of construction projects. Assisting the Senior Management in carrying out managerial functions as required in project activities and administration. Supervising, guiding, training and ensuring Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of junior Quantity Surveyors and other technical staff. Any other duties assigned by the supervising officers. |
Salary & Other Benefits :
I. Selected applicants will be placed on a suitable salary point depending on qualifications and experience as per the MSD Circular 01/2025.
II. Contribution of 12% and 3% of salary to the Employees Provident Fund and Employees Trust Fund respectively by the Bureau.
Method of Selection : Selections will be made on the order of merit determined by an Interview Panel.
